St John’s Cathedral 19th Loaves and Fishes lunch

It was an absolute honour to be guest speaker at St John’s Cathedral 19th Loaves and Fishes lunch in front of 500 people.

The beneficiary of this year’s luncheon was COOEE, an initiative of Indigenous Elders, who provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

During my address, I stressed the importance of providing job outcomes to indigenous Australians and told the audience that our services go far beyond creating employment opportunities.  We are:

•          Self esteem generator.

•          Role model creator for the local indigenous community.

•          Initiator for financial security and a positive future.

The lunch raised over $46,000 for COOEE and I was delighted to be able to donate $10,000 as well as raising another $1,500 through the donation of an indigenous artwork from one of our indigenous programmes – GidjiArt.

GidjiArt sells quality Indigenous art and equips Indigenous jobseekers with the life skills, industry skills and work experience they need for a career in retail.

Based in Bundaberg, Shop 66 is a 10-week indigenous retail training programme which includes work experience and mentoring support to ‘get that job’.

Duke of York launches job ready training specialists at our SRJA Coventry UK!

Hi to all!

Congratulations to everyone at The Sarina Russo Group of Companies!

Together, in March 2012 we made the Royal visit of Prince Andrew happen in Coventry UK!

History was made:  His Royal Highness’ visit, Duke of York who inspired us all in his passion in caring about his people’s challenges and pain!

Prince Andrew really does care: he is so sincere with his desire to want to know how to empower and create greatness for his country!

It was one of the most exciting and rewarding days for our Group – it was a milestone and acknowledgement for all of us!

Employers just loved the invitation and jobseekers found it so amazing as the Duke spoke to everyone there!

In summary an absolute sensational day for all who was present – it was a privilege!

We will circulate a video and photos soon of this special Royal event.

I would like to thank Mark Berlese, Executives, Managers, Advisers and staff for their contribution and hard work – it was indeed a global showcase for our industry!

So what next?

Of course now I invited the Duke to come and visit Australia! What do you think?

Talk soon!
